Botox

A brand name for botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin that blocks messages between muscles and the nerves that control them.  The effects of Botox become apparent immediately after injections and generally last for 4-6 months.  The FDA has approved the use of Botox to temporarily soften and eventually eliminate facial wrinkles between the eyebrows and other areas of the face.  At our clinic we reconstitute our Botox to a one-to-one solution providing the most appealing results.
